How I Use StumbleUpon on Triberr

Many bloggers are noticing that StumbleUpon is bringing additional exposure to their blogs and websites. Those of us on Triberr have the benefit of sharing each other's content via Twitter, Facebook, Google+, StumbleUpon and LinkedIn. Today I am ONLY going to speak about using StumbleUpon on Triberr because I have been noticing that some of my fellow Tribemates are potentially missing the StumbleUpon boat so to speak!

Let's face it, we are all busy, aren't we? Since we are living in this fast food society, any additional work is an added load for some. I must confess that when I am sharing my Tribemate's posts, if the StumbleUpon  icon has not been submitted, I rarely have time to do it for them. The author of the post is the best person to decide which topic and tags their post falls under. So, in my meager opinion we should all be submitting our own posts as soon as we blog them!

"This is Howie Do It" via Triberr! Sorry I have had that song in my head for the past week!  (Of course you can submit your own blog post directly from your blog! Just in case you didn't, and you are already on Triberr or live on there as I do, you can also do it via Triberr!) Here goes, so simple, go to your Tribal Stream and click "Load Social Buttons":

If Michelle's post, "Almost Wordless..." were mine, I would click on "Submit" as soon as it pulls onto the stream!  See below:

Then this little page should pop up! As you can see not everyone is a Saint and would do this for every post! Usually you just want to Like, Stumble and roll to your next task!

Fill it out, please!

Once you fill it out and your Tribal Stream is refreshed, there should be a number 1 showing (where the 3 is here in this picture). In Jane's case below, most likely she submitted her post and then 2 other people have "Liked" and "Stumbled" it, that is why there is a 3! 

So now when we come along to share your post on StumbleUpon and it has already been submitted by YOU..., then this little pop up will show up, click on "I like it!" then click on "Stumble"! So easy, we are done sharing it on StumbleUpon!

Did Triberr Give Me Klout?

What is Triberr?


Triberr was created by Dino Dogan and Dan Cristo.  For the "mom and pop" or new blogger it is a great tool to increase reach on Twitter and exposure to your blog.


For Triberr to benefit you, you must have a blog that you post on regularly and also have an account on Twitter.


To join Triberr you would receive an invitation, which will be sent to you via direct message on Twitter by somebody you know.

How Has Triberr Helped Me?

I was invited to Triberr at the end of August 2011, however I wasn't blogging due to an illness. 


At the time the tweets were automated so it looked like I was somewhat active on Twitter!  This feature is no longer available at this time. Once I returned and started blogging again I began to see all the benefits of using Triberr.


Each time I wrote a post on my blog my "Tribe" members were tweeting them and of course I was doing the same for them.  I created my own "Tribe" and joined other "Tribes" too.  My Twitter reach began to increase.


I control which posts I would like to tweet out and before deciding on joining an already established "Tribe" I visit their blogs as well. 

Where Are Your Posts Going?


Not only are your blog posts being "Tweeted" on Twitter, they can also be "Liked" on Facebook, "+1'd" on Google+, "Stumbled" on StumbleUpon and shared on LinkedIn!

Remember I Had Stopped Blogging?


To measure how Triberr has increased my reach, I am going to use Klout scoring as my example. To learn more about Klout please visit their Website Here.  During the time I stopped blogging, Klout also changed their algorithms.  When I returned in October, my score had plummeted.


Here you can see that 30 days ago when I wasn't blogging, my Klout Score was only 31.  On October 28, 2011 I started blogging again.  As of today, November 27, 2011, my Klout Score has increased to 43 and my True Reach increased by 568!

In Review


I recommend Triberr to any blogger that would like to increase their exposure in the blogosphere! I feel that in the past 30 days, being a member of Triberr was what helped me get back on my feet so to speak!  I also have been able to connect with other bloggers and visit their great blogs too.

National Girlfriends Day-The Blessings from Social Media

I recently joined a wonderful community called Social Media Girlfriends. Please visit their website, especially if you would like some #divadust! 


All you have to do is enter your name, email address and Twitter ID to claim their badge!  Just place the badge on your blog and join in on the #SMGirlfriends fun!


The song they chose for the introduction on their website is Only You by Joshua Radin. It is so appropriate for their mission.  They are creating connections through Social Media,"So you can feel loved. So you can feel supported. So you can feel connected."  As a member I have felt all of those! 


When I saw this video this morning I thought of Social Media Girlfriends and all they encompass.

Make sure you turn on your volume to watch!

Like the geese in the movie, their Twitter messages are so uplifting.  They carry each of us higher so that we too can soar. 


You may be dealing with either stress, pain, sadness or loss and when you open your account you are flooded with hope and love.


In the movie, Pulling Together 10 Rules for High Performance Teamwork by John J. Murphy it states, "If we share a common direction and a sense of community, we can get where we are going more quickly and easily because we are traveling on the thrust of one another."


If for some reason we fall out of formation, like the geese, the messages from these awesome women help us get back on balance!


Although I have only been a member for a short time, I have witnessed the power of these messages firsthand.  They will celebrate with you when there is a joyous occasion and they will virtually hold your hand during an illness or a loss of a child or a parent.


Today is National Girlfriends Day, who do you know that needs to be uplifted with a little dose of inspiration, love and a sprinkle of #divadust?
