Guest Post: Something About George Clooney!

Recently I had the pleasure of writing a guest post for my dear friend Sharon from Moms Madhouse Advice Blog~A Blog W/ Sprinkles of Truth!

She was having issues with her eyesight at the time and wasn't able to post on her blog.  So our Exalted Sisters Tribe on Triberr got together and sent her a handful of posts for her blog.

Her four year old daughter happened to be talking about Italy on that particular day so I decided to send her my post about George Clooney!

I met Sharon on VoiceBoks this past year and we have become quite close.  We have had our Lucy and Ethel moments on Twitter and Facebook, she cracks me up all the time!

Sharon is a mom of 6 children and writes about all the fun that happens at her house.  She is a riot and I recommend that you take a peek at her blog!  Here is her Blog Button:

To be happy, one must find one's bliss!-Gloria Vanderbilt

{EAV:cf36012a888ed327}
During the month of December I have joined the Reverb 2011 Project.  Some of my posts will require much courage as I will be answering as truthfully as I can, brutally honest, reaching deep within my soul.  Something that I have been refusing to do for years.

17. Bliss
ImagineGolf
What are three things that make you feel the most blissed out? What can you do in 2012 to invite more of that into your life?

“Now a soft kiss - Aye, by that kiss, I vow an endless bliss.”
― John Keats
Relaxing on the ocean gives me great feelings of Bliss! The warm breeze, watching the seagulls and birds flying in the beautiful blue sky, hearing the waves hit the shore and the hot white sand between my toes are a few of the things that create peace within me.

Where we currently reside there are no warm white sandy beaches!  The Pacific Northwest is beautiful but their beaches are lacking in that department! Therefore in 2012 there would need to be either more traveling to the Caribbean or maybe a move to a beautiful tropical islandBeing loved and spending time with my family also creates feelings of Bliss and Joy in my soul.

18. Ordinary Sparkling Moments

Reflect on the ordinary moments that bring you joy (e.g., the tea pot whistling, the sun setting). What moments would you like to relish in the coming year?
The first thing we do in the morning is have a couple of cups of coffee. Despite my Latin background, I never drank coffee before I married my husband.  The day just feels odd if we haven't done our java ritual!

When it is sunny and warm here in Seattle, we love to sit outside and drink our coffee. Sitting between the hummingbirds and butterflies fluttering around the flowers adds that perfect ambiance to our morning!

To be able to relish more of these moments it is looking as if maybe we should make that big move. As I write this, I am beginning to see a common thread! Will we actually make the move we are always talking about? Only time will tell...

19. Joy

What does a joyful life look like for you?
Overall a joyful life is one filled with gratitude.  I always love to say, "The best gift in life is when you recognize all the blessings that surround you!"

When you are able to be grateful and recognize all these blessings as soon as you open your eyes in the morning, your day can only get better from that moment on!

For me to be surrounded by a husband that truly loves me, the blessings of my children and grandchildren help create a joyful life! Again with my theme, living near the ocean on the Caribbean, is the dream location I would love to be spending my joyful life!

20. Community
Where have you discovered community, online or otherwise, in 2011? What community would you like to join, create or more deeply connect with in 2012? (Author: Cali Harris)
These are a few online communities which I love.  My goal is to be more active in some in the upcoming year.

Mom Bloggers~ A Great Community for You!

I wish I could remember how I stumbled upon VoiceBoks, so I could thank the person who had this badge on their blog.  I know I must have been Blog Hopping for sure. However, thankfully I did and joined this great Community.  The group of mostly women and yes even a few Daddy's are gently and graciously guided by the creator of VoiceBoks, Lexie. Besides having a young baby and husband at home, VoiceBoks is her other baby!

She has created a community that embraces the promotion and support of others.  Once you join you are greeted immediately by members who make you feel like you are stopping in for a cup of coffee and sitting down at their kitchen table.

We have Blog Hops integrated on the site, wonderful groups that help you gain followers to your blogs utilizing the different forms of Social Media, education and support.  Some of the categories that you will find here are Pregnancy, Children, Health, Recipes, Deals and Steals and an organized Directory.  The Directory includes Arts and Crafts, Go Green, Parenting, Party Ideas and even Shops, to name just a few.

When I watched this movie "Oh, Thank Goodness, It's Not Just Me!", I thought of this wonderful group and community called VoiceBoks ~The Voice of Motherhood.

Make sure your volume is up, click Play and Enjoy this quick movie!

"No matter what stage of life a woman is in, Oh Thank Goodness It's Not Just Me by Lisa Hammond and BJ Gallagher, shares a message of hope woman to woman and heart-to-heart: You are not alone. The authors encourage women to overcome self-doubt, anxiety and self consciousness by connecting and sharing real-world experiences with each other."

"Oh Thank Goodness It's Not Just Me illustrates the power of sharing stories and celebrates women's interdependence. It taps into the power of connection and community, eliminating the need to be perfect, while giving women the freedom to share their feelings, to forgive both themselves and others and to ask for help. The book allows women to see the possibilities of rebounding and reinventing themselves."

"Oh Thank Goodness It's Not Just Me shows women that they are not alone in their feelings and experiences—that they are free to share who they really are with the world."

To me this book and movie describe exactly what VoiceBoks is all about. Just click either of the VoiceBoks' Badges and come and visit us, you may want to stay awhile!

Lexie Lane and Ro Little have also created WikiMommy! You are welcome to visit this great addition to the VoiceBoks Community and even become a contributor!

Attitude is Everything by Vicki Hitzges

Today I was Blog Hopping through our great Community VoiceBoks and I stumbled upon this great post on, F.L.A.G and  her post about her Gratitude Journal.

During life's trials and despite my tears or sorrows, I have tried to find the things that I am grateful for. Doing so almost always gets me out of that slump!

In the movie below, Attitude is Everything by Vicki Hitzges, (make sure you have the sound on!), it says, "Count your blessings and jot them down".  "Feeling Gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it" by William Arthur Ward

How true is that? How many presents do we have stored away already wrapped?  Get them out and write your Journals or Gratitude Lists, only then can we see the gifts that are already in our lives!

Please join a wonderful community called VoiceBoks~ The Voice of Motherhood! Click the button below and take a peek, you are going to love it!
I am so happy to have joined and met some of these amazing women!

Well got to go, my grand babies and daughter-in-law are here and I am so grateful!  Until next time!
