Memorial Day- Men Like My Son

Memorial Day is a day of remembrance to those who have died in the line of Military Service.  Today I would like to honor all who have served and who are currently serving in the U.S. Military.

While we are enjoying family picnics and BBQ's let's not forget the sacrifice that our men and women in Military have given for our freedom.

One of our sons is in the Navy.  We are so proud of him.  I pray each day that God will continue to protect him.  I thank God for the strength that He has given to my son's wife when he is deployed and the faith that He has given me when he is away.

My Son and I
We are so proud of you my son, we love you and may God continue to bless you!  Wishing you all a safe and Happy Memorial Day!

  15. My younger brother is in the Air Force and is headed to Afghanistan...I'm worried about him of course, but so grateful to all who serve our country. When I was 16, I visited Arlington National Cemetery, which left a deep impression on me to this day. Looking out across those rolling hills, and seeing that sea of white crosses, literally knocked the wind out of me. It's just so special that we have men and women who are selfless and brave, and willing to step up and be there for us. Thank you to your son for his service:)

  20. Courtney,
The same happens to me each time I visit Arlington Cemetary. I will pray for your brother's safe return. Thank you for your kind message.

    Hi Spanish Pinay!
Each time I listen to that song it makes me tear up. It is tough to see your children leave for war, but one of the things that kept me going was that he wanted to serve his country, no matter what.

    Veronica Lee,
Thank you so much for your message.

    Susan,
Yes me too. The sacrifice sometimes can be tough.

    Thank you Lisa,
We are so proud of all our military and are grateful when they do come home safe.

Thank you all for your great comments.~Lisa
